Working together to create a sustainable local economy for mutually beneficial prosperity.

THE PROBLEM: AN UNSUSTAINABLE LOCAL ECONOMY

National and global franchises are so big and powerful that they can move into a community and undercut local business owners who must then force down the living standards of themselves, their employees, and their customers in order to compete. The whole point of a competition is to have a winner. When the competition is over, the winner will have complete control of prices, products, and quality. Who wins is up to us as consumers.

THE SOLUTION: A COALITION OF LOCAL BUSINESSES

  1. A coalition of independently owned and locally created businesses.
  2. Identify members clearly, continuously, and consistently for customers.
  3. Public education programs for consumer awareness.
  4. Legal and political representation for the coalition.
  5. More effective use of local organizations.

Together we can affect political and socioeconomic change that will make advertising and public awareness efforts more affordable and available to locally owned and operated businesses.
