THE PROBLEM: AN UNSUSTAINABLE LOCAL ECONOMY National and global franchises are so big and powerful that they can move into a community and undercut local business owners who must then force down the living standards of themselves, their employees, and their customers in order to compete. The whole point of a competition is to have a winner. When the competition is over, the winner will have complete control of prices, products, and quality. Who wins is up to us as consumers. |
THE SOLUTION: A COALITION OF LOCAL BUSINESSES
|
| Together we can affect political and socioeconomic change that will make advertising and public awareness efforts more affordable and available to locally owned and operated businesses. | |
